Windows Media (wma) |
- Downloaded files are larger
- Media player has feature to speed up or slow down playback e.g. we mostly
speak slowly and clearly to allow fast playback of presentations.
|
Flash (flv) |
- Downloaded files are smaller sized
- Needs flash player to be installed (a free download) but nearly all computers already have this.
|
Audio only |
- Downloaded files are smaller but do not include the video of the presenter
|
Self-extract |
- Downloaded ‘.exe’ rather than ‘.zip’ files for computers where zip files can not be opened.
- Computers and networks for some employers might block ‘.exe’ files from being downloaded and opened.
|
Certain downloaded presentations include a transcript which can be read during the presentation -- open and play a presentation then seek the ‘help’ button or
option to find out how to show the transcript.
